Sprinkler Systems

Eton Fire Ltd offer a complete service incorporating the design, installation, testing and commissioning of sprinkler systems in accordance with the current standards:

British & European Standards: BSEN 12845 Incorporation LPC Technical Bulletins
BS 9251 Residential and Domestic
American Standards: NFPA 13 or FM Global

The automatic sprinkler system is the most widely used fire protection system today. These systems are designed to discharge a suitable amount of water for the risk involved as specified by the various standards outlined above. Sprinkler systems are designed to provide immediate fire defence to protect lives and minimise material losses.

The system activates when a sprinkler head detects heat emitted from a fire. When the heat-sensitive element of any sprinkler (or sprinklers) reaches its specific design temperature the sprinkler head will open to release a spray of water. The resultant drop in system pressure ensures that the fire pumps will operate to provide the appropriate design flow and pressure through the system to control, or extinguish, a fire. Only those sprinklers directly affected by the heat from a fire will discharge water (despite what films and TV would have you believe...)

We offer the following systems backed up by dedicated water supplies:

  • Wet Type
  • Dry Type
  • Tail End
  • Pre-action

All our systems are designed in-house and calculated to meet with the specific risk criteria to suit any type of application.
